Listen to your gut! If someone does/says something that makes you uncomfortable, chances are it’s not just some weird custom in the kink community you haven’t heard of. They’re just a creep. If you don’t feel comfortable giving out your real name/phone/email, then don’t—people should respect your right to privacy. Other than that, the advice is the same as it would be for any new social gathering: have fun! :)
